Directions from Red Deer, AB:Go east of Red Deer on Highway 595 (also known as the Coal Trail or Delburne Highway) for 38 km. At the intersection of Highway 21, turn south and drive for 5 km along Hwy. 21. Watch for Delburne's turn-off to the left. When you arrive in Delburne, you will come to a 4-way Stop. Look for our sign, directing you to go north (left) from that intersection. The road curves right, along the north side of the village and heads east. Follow this road across the railway tracks and continue to 18 Avenue. Keep following our signs. Turn right on 18 Avenue and we are immediately on the left. For directions from Calgary or Edmonton, please phone us and we will gladly fax or email you the short-cut directions. Area attractions include:Delburne's Anthony Henday Museum The collection at the museum includes artifacts from the pioneer days, such as coal mining, agriculture, and household items. The museum is housed within a previous CNR Railway Station, and there are four floors of displays in the Delburne CNR water tank tower building. The museum has a replica of a homesteader's shack, a CNR caboose, and a machine shed housing old machinery. The museum offers a Mother's Day pancake breakfast and celebrates Homesteader's Day with demonstrations. Ask us for dates and times.
